This is a walkthrough and review file for the "Immoral Study #1: 
Reiko Shirakawa" (IMSTUDY1) Windows English adult anime game from 
Scoop. It was translated to English after a Japanese release, and 
is sold by Himeya Soft (www.himeya.com).

The game is sold on a CD-ROM for Windows 95 and 98. System 
requirements are minimal: Windows 95 or 98 OS, Pentium 75 or 
better, 16 MB RAM, Mouse, CD-ROM, Hard Drive with 6MB (or is it 
8?) free, 640*480*256 colors graphics. WAV and MIDI playback 
capability optional. You play it directly from the CD-ROM, but it 
will place a "IMM01A.ini" file in your C:WINDOWS or equivalent 
directory. That holds the "finished the game" markers so you can 
see the pictures after you've played the game once.

The package has 'enclosed gift "Cool Voicemail"' on it. That's 3 
large .WAV files with Japanese voices and sound effects, 
presumably from the 3 girls (Reiko, Manami, and Yuka) in this 
Immoral Study series. You might be really interested in them if 
you understand Japanese or are trying to learn, but they're 
otherwise useless. Note that the Reiko file is NOT the same as 
what she says in the game.

The game has very good controls and Help, and almost perfect 
translation to English. The only things wrong about it are poor 
replay value and lack of more than one real ending. If you don't 
persist in pursuing stupid options, like pretending to be a bill 
collector at the front door of the house, you should have no 
problem getting through this game the first time. And after 
you've seen all the pictures once, there's nothing else to see.

Although you can't speed up the display of text in any way that 
I can discover, to skip through dialogue you may have seen 
before, at least the text doesn't s-l-o-w-l-y print out. You can 
click to advance the text while a scrolling graphic is 
displaying.

While the game is playing, I noticed that my Dial-Up Networking 
folder icon changed, but not permanently. Strange.

Overall review: Very good translation to English, but a very 
short game with almost no replay value. Borrow from somebody else 
and return in a few hours.
