Get Backers - Dak Kan Ya/Get Backers - Settling for Perfect Cases (not the best way to translate the title, but I'd say that I am about right on the money here) is based on a manga series by Randou Ayamine-sensei and Aoki Yuya-sensei that became a 49-episode series from Kodansha last year. Midou Ban and Amano Ginji (the former being part German) are two agents known as the Get Backers. If a person's item is lost or stolen, they will get it back and their nearly always 100% success rate backs them up. Just call them up at the Honky Tonk if you need to make a case with them.
Art - 10
Think the art is good early on? Wait until you see the later episodes. Each episode improves in overall quality. The characters have good designs. Of course, those that have started on the series for the first time will let their guard down due to the fact that Fuuchoin Kazuki is a guy and not a girl. =P
Story - 8
I don't know how you can make a retreiving series have a story that works, but in this case, it has fulfilled my needs...sort of.
Audio - 10
This is one of the few series to not have a J-pop dominating soundtrack that is good. From the opening and ending songs to the side songs, the music is that good. From Kanna Nobutoshi-san (Hayashi Nobutoshi-san) as Ban to Koyasu Takehito-san as Kakei Juubei, you have voice actors that worked. Oh and for those wondering, Mizuki Natsumi was played by Otoua, a model.
Fun - 8
It doesn't take itself so seriously and that's one of the reason why the series is so good. Chibi Ginji is so hilarious. Of course, the secondary characters are just as important as the primary ones and you have to love the action.
At the end however, I felt let down. Besides the fact that it is repetative, I felt that it was incomplete. It's the usual manga turned anime formula, I suppose.
Life - 9
A keeper? In terms of comedy, you bet. Other than that, that's for you to decide.
Overall - 9
With a nice group of characters, seiyuu, music and such, "Get Backers" is a good series as long as you get past its errors. So, if you haven't done so, hop on and see the "Get Backers" experience yourself. You won't regret it, I hope.
+
The characters and audio help the drive of this anime.

The ending gave me a bitter feeling afterwards and it felt so rushed in many cases.
