Kite...Kite...Kite

Kite is one of the few unique animes i enjoyed watching. This anime is action oriented with lots of blood and gore and sexual situations. The atmosphere of this certain anime is dark and disturbing. Kite's story revolves around a girl named Sawa and how she became an assasin. She then meets a boy named Oburi who is also an assasin and everything changes. Her past shown thru flashbacks scattered through out the anime which is only around 60 mins long.

The outline of Kite's story from Media Blasters:

"She may be cute. She may be young. She may seem innocent and naive, but don’t be fooled. She’s a cold-blooded killer, and if you’re on the wrong side of the law, you may be her next target. After being orphaned at a young age, her parents the victims of a brutal double murder, Sawa was taken in by the detective assigned to her case. Not content to just watch as the imperfect justice system lets more and more criminals go loose every day, he’s decided to train her to be his instrument of justice. After all, who’d suspect a pretty college student of being a deadly vigilante! Now she must decide between her allegiance to her guardian and her loyalty to her one and only friend, a fellow sword of justice. "

The animation is fast and detailed. The music isn't that good or non-existent even in some scenes.

This anime is not for everyone if you don't mind excessive violence and sexual situations among other things. If you are going to get Kite get the director's cut on video or the DVD version if available.

I highly recommend this to anyone who likes action and isn't easily offended. The ending although could have been better in my opinion. There are no happy endings...
