The infamous Sangoku, now the 7th generation of the game is out. Probably most of you might heard of this game before, in english version of sangoku, they call it "Romance of the Three Kingdoms." As you might think the seventh generation is just that same as the older generations with improved graphics. But think again before you make any assumptions about it. Aside from the improved graphics, Koei have changed the traditional method of the gameplay a bit.
In the previous generations the player always take control of ruler. But due to the change of gameplay, the player can be any characters that is out there. That's right!! you don't have to be a ruler anymore, and you don't have to be in charge of everything. You can just sit back, let everyone else do the work until the game ends. ^_^
The battle method is pretty much the same as the older versions of the game. The major difference is that before each battle begins, there will be a meeting to decide the tactics that will be used in the battlefield.
Each year in the game the ruler will hold a fighting contest and a poem writing contest. Like all contest, the winner gets to keep the prizes.
PROS:
-more than 600 characters in the game, each with different and uniqe abilities.
-new and improved movies in the game.
-an interesting storyline, during gameplay if some requirements are met there will be some short story sequences.
-a very large freedom of developemnt for player, unlike most english slg games, you are stuck in pre-designed levels.
-a interesting battle sequence, you can fight with your army or have a head to head dual with your enemy general.
CONS:
-long hours of gameplay, or short hours if you decide to take a short cut.
-Not too much difference between previous generations.

-Overall Sangoku is a very playable and enjoyable game.
