The game Eve Burst Error has had 3 incarnations one is from the PC-98 version which it came from and it was hentai while the other two are from the Saturn and the Windows version was taken from the Saturn game which isn't hentai.
Anyways the game uses multi-sight meaning you can see an event from two different persons view point. In this game there are two main characters Marina and Kojiroh. Each character has their own agendas and objectives to accomplish but their paths will cross from time to time. Marina is a national intelligence agent with a 99% success rate while Kojiroh is a private investigator and is good in what he does.
When the game starts you are given a choice whether to play Marina or Kojiroh's scenario first but in this case either one is fine. Each scenario shows us each characters past and their objectives during the game. The game uses animation for key events called "Lucid-Motion" it adds more depth to the story. The animation runs smoothly in 640x360/15fps.
During the course of the game you will meet old and new people surrounding the two characters either they be friends or enemies is shown. Both character scenarios are combined in which they help each other out to solve the mysteries surrounding them. It is very innovative and somehow frustrating at times when forced to move back and forth from each scenario. This game is very enjoyable and frustratingly fun to play for it makes you want to know what comes next.
Pros: The Story is very unique and the animations is very profesional. The cgs are detailed and looks good but is a little outdated. The play mechanics are different and innovative.
Cons: The games scenario hopping might frustrate some people. Sometimes gets stuck on a scenario and no idea what to do next. No cg/animation gallery. Low replay value.
Recommendations: I recommend this game to all anime fans. It is very enjoyable to play with unique gameplay, good animation and great story with character incite. If you are looking for a hentai game this ain't the game for you better try Adam the Double Factor also from C's ware with characters from Eve burst error. Also if you want to see the continuation of Eve burst Error get the sequel The Lost Ones continuing after Eve.
Note: When you reach the end of one scenario save it and go to load, you have to load the one next to the one you saved. It is a mistake not many know and they just go to new game and it erases their past game. Just to keep in mind and if you are stuck on this game go to Himeya's web site to get the Eve hint text file for help on the game.
