As you probably know, most of TGL's recent games have been rehashes of their PC98x1 classics with slightly better resolution and more colors. Luckily, VG Max is completely new. TGL decided to take the characters from the original VG Fighter games, and make them super-deformed. Although this is more than a little creepy during the h-scenes, it is a very fun game. If you've played Queen of Hearts '98 and liked it, you'll like this game, as it was programmed from the same team of people.
Sound/Music: 6/10 The version I have has no music, but the sound is there, and its pretty average among the fighters for PC.

Graphics: 8/10 I personally like SD fighters, they're a break from the serious fighters like Tekken that have characters with hardly any personality at all. As I said before, the H-scenes are a bit weird, considering they're SD also, but they are nicely drawn, so I have to give them points for that.

Playability: 8/10 This game is very easy to control, which always adds to the enjoyment of a game. The only real problem here is that sometimes it can be a bit tricky pulling off those special moves.

Over all: 8/10 To sum it up: a cutesy fighter with great graphics, character animations, good sound, and nice controls. Pat TGL on the back and get this game!
