Name: Hatsune No Naishou (80.00% in 5 votes)
Type: ADV
Platform: WINDOWS
Company: Leaf
Release date: 1998
Reviewed by: Great Teacher

After the success of Leaf's top seller visual novel, To Heart, Leaf has released a second amusement CD with several To Heart's characters as well as new character Hatsune. Hatsune no Naishou is a collection of Leaf's mini games that any Leaf's fan should not miss. The CD contains several cute mini software including some mini games, screen saver, wallpaper, and CD player. The mini games packed in the CD include a mini action game called Heart By Heart with characters from To Heart, a mini RPG game called Leaf Fighting 97, To Heart Omake, and of course the adventure game Hastune no Naishou.

In To Heart Omake (Omake in English means bonus or special), the time takes place after the game, To Heart, ended. Bosho has invited you to go to school at night with her and explore the school to find some intangible spirit. Like To Heart, depending on what you choose, you will go explore the school at night with different girl. After a long and fun (?) dialogue, you will ended up exploring the school at night and discover the truth behind the rumor of the intangible spirit in school.

In the other two games, one of them is an action game and the other is an RPG type game. The action game is similar to the old, old Mario game where there are three levels of floors and you need to knock enemies from under the floor the enemies is standing. The one who knocked the most of out of it wins. The RPG mini game is just like many ordinary RPG games. I don't know a lot of information about the RPG mini game, so please forgive me about my inability to have a detailed information about the RPG mini game.

I have heard that Hatsuon no Naishou is supposed to be rated and limited to minors. However, I have yet found anything that is forbidden to minors but I should be wrong. One thing I can be sure of, though, is that you should not get this CD for its H contents but for a collection of your favorite H-game, To Heart.

* Since this is really not a game but amusement CD, I will not put a rating along with this review.
