Doukyusei 2 is a lot more successful than its predecessor Doukyusei. After the PC release, the wave of fans for this game became larger and larger. In fact Doukyusei 2 is so successful that they have released the game three times on PC ((Dos/V, Dos (Chinese translation by gamebox), and a 2 CD Win95 version) as well as on the Playstation and the Sega Saturn as a 2 CD game. Elf released several soundtracks regarding this game. Pink Pineapple released 7 episodes of the anime so far (There should be 9 episodes according to Pink Pineapple. Novels, posters and cute accessories are also made after this game The Game takes place two year after Doukyusei in another city. One of the girls Misa Tanaka from the first game is a character in Doukyusei 2 as well.

The main character (named by the player) is a bad egg of the school, fighting and has a reputation for trouble, not to mention extremely low grades. Living with him is his step sister Yui Narusawa (probably the favorite character among fans, my favorite too) and his step mother Misako Narusawa. The time span around this game is around 2 weeks during Christmas holidays. The main character is a person without any goals or dreams in the beginning of the game, however as he meet different girls his personality changes and as he dates these girls, he ends up with one of them. There are 15 girls in total including a famous actress, a tour guide or your teacher (oh yeah, your sister and mother are available as well *smiles*). The gameplay is very much like the first game where you have to go to different places to meet the girls and eventually set up dates and marry the girl in the end.

This game also works with the love points. In this game however, one can check each girl's love point at a fortune teller's place for a small fee of course. This game is definitely a very successful game in Asia. In the dating game area, Elf has dominated. Now all elf has to do is to translate the game into English and dominate the North American Market as well. :) Rumours have it that Doukyusei 3 is to be released this month as well. I am really looking forward to the third in the series. Get the game and happy gaming. :)

Story: 9/10
Excellent story. Every girl that you pursuits is an indiviual story and you can experience the different girls feeling towards school, love and her own personal problems.

Graphics: 9/10
The girls in this game is very pretty and they look even better in the anime. Although I haven't got the playstation version or the Win95 version of the game, I will get it ASAP and write another review on it, so check back often. :)

Gameplay: 9/10
The gameplay of this game is excellent, like most dating game, the level of challenge is high , the replay value is also high.

Music: 8/10
Awesome music, It has very good midi music for the time. The theme song Sweet on You is amazingly soothing and the voices of the characters in the Win95 version and the PSX/Saturn version is good as well.

Overall: 8.75/10
This game is so good, it cannot be put into words. This game is definitely worth getting. Order this game from elf if you have to, but get it. :) Now if only they have an english version.
