Everyone should be very familiar to capcom's 3D adventure game series. :) Yes, I am talking about the resident evil series aka Bio Hazard in Japan.RE or BH is probably one of the most popular adventure games of all times, in my opinion, RE kicks Tomb raider all the way thru the roof :). Capcom is currently workingon 2 new bio hazard games. One for the dream cast and the other for psx. The one for the dreamcast is Bio hazard: Code Veronica. The one for the psx is the muchawaited sequel, bio hazard 3. While these games are in the making, capcom has decided to combine jurassic park and BH to create an adventure game that rocks :)Dino crisis takes place on a deserted island where a team of 4 secret agents are sent in to infiltrate the research facility to capture some scientist there who isworking on some secret weapon. When they landed on the island however, Gale, Rick and Regina lost contact with Cooper (the guy with the radio). It figures. So anywaysGale decided that the team should no longer wait for Gale and begin the mission. As the team reaches the facility, something is terribly wrong. There are no guardswhatsoever in the facility, and the power is down. And soon afterwards, you found out that there are more than a few lions in the facility with the team. As the story unfolds,there are tons of puzzle and dinosaurs to fight. This game has a whooping 3 endings as well as 2 different modes to play the game in. Easy mode allows the character (Regina) tobe able to have lots of weapons and ammos, so basically you shoot the dinosaurs as you go thru the game. In the normal mode however, you are given very limited ammo, and the only wayto get thru the game is to mix tranqulizers to stun the dinosaurs for a short period of time while you get your things done.
Basically this is a really good game which incoperates a lot of the BH pros and added a lot of difficulty. IT was no challenge to outrun zombies, but try to outrun dinosaurs, one false moveand you will get bitten to death. And if you don't heal your wounds after being bitten, your blood will fall on the floor and attract dinosaurs. The dinosaurs also has a very intelligent AIcontrolling them. They will actually hide while you shoot at them.
Gameplay: 9/10
What can I say, I am a big fan of the BH series, so I wouldn't miss this game for the world :)
Story: 7/10
Not the most original story in the world (Jurassic Park anyone?)
Music: 8/10
The music is certainly a plus in the game, the music fits the game so much that you are actually scared when the music changes.
Graphics: 9/10
A definite improvement from BH2, the dinosaurs are realistic and the FMVs are just insane.
Overall: 8/10
Fans of BH shouldn't miss the game for the world, as for other people, go get the game just because it is so much fun :) A suggestion: Go play this game on a 50 inch screen at midnight :)
